Accurate information helps a lot.
You can't have an IDE tape drive run off a floppy controller. You either
have a floppy based tape, or an IDE based tape drive. Which is it?
As for your graphics card, I personally don't like Metro-X in how it
works with SOME graphics cards. It seems to be conservative about
the modes it will allow/setup, etc.
The new XFree86 3.2 should support your Matrox just fine. Its not on
your CD though, have to download it, or at least the server for your
card.
