Dr Tych,
I am curious - do you think 50$ goes very far to answer
queries from people that have a hard time reading? Ever heard
of a HOWTO? For crying out loud, how many people here have asked
questions (sometimes over and over again) about stuff that is
provided in documentation?
Does anyone know how much it costs for NT? Or 95? How much
support is included in the price there? What quality are we
speaking of? Most of the people I have spoke to are no better
than idiot savants.
Give me a break. What would _you_ be willing to do for the
small percentage of the purchase price (10% per customer maybe?
A guess ..) that you receive? Would _you_ work for 5$ an hour
to do consulting?
You are dang lucky the Linux community is 'friendly' enough
to answer anything at all. Perhaps RedHat should simply refer
people to the appropriate HOWTO instead of specifically answering
questions.
Arrogance? I am dang tired of sniveling weenies that complain
that they don't have their own personal support member to come and
install the software on their PC because they don't know how. No
one _ever_ said that Linux was for the run-of-the-mill consumer.
