A hoard of pink elephants inspired John Banghart <john@future.success.net> to tell linux.redhat.list:

Did you check out the wu-ftpd FAQ at http://www.hvu.nl/~koos/wu-ftpd-faq.html?
It contains references to the guestgroup howto.
Also, check your ftpaccess file for lines like:
delete no guest
overwrite no guest
