Since setting up 4.0, I have a couple of minor problems which I've
been unable to solve.
1. I can telnet into my machine (orca), but can't ftp. I've used the
control-panel User/Group Manager to configure user "whiting" -- I just
don't know what to do to get ftp to work. Here's output:
Connected to orca
220 orca FTP server (Version wu-2.4.2-academ[BETA-11](1) Tue Sep 3 18:44:35 EDT 1996) ready.
530 User whiting access denied.
Login failed.
2. I no longer seem to have a connection with my printer. The setup
is exactly the same as I had in Picasso, which worked great. I even
try restarting lpd from the control-panel, but the printer does not
respond at all -- it's as if the cable is unattached. (It still works
in 3.0.3 and Windows95, though.) Has anyone else had this problem. I
can't find it on the errata sheet.
Overall, though, I'm very impressed with 4.0. Good job, RedHat!
