Bob,

I'm pretty sure I'd read that the supp.img put out with the original
distribution was the root of this problem (are you getting this problem
with only NFS, HD or FTP installs?).  I'm pretty sure that there's a new
supp.img in the updates folder on the RH ftp site.  I haven't tried it
myself (I broke down and bought the CDs) but it should fix the problem.
