Sheesh what an unnerving experience. But blowing
away the ppp interface I had created did it -- after a reboot.
Now for the questions:
1) Obviously I don't want my interface active at boot, right?
I mean that *is* how this all got started, right? But do I want
it active at all? What exactly does "active" vs. "inactive" mean?
Does it have to be "active" to use it at all? I'm afraid I don't
understand this very well.
2) The ISP HOWTO talks about an email server. Are we
talking POP3, SMTP, or what? What do I put where this
information is requested?
