endorse Miguel's problem. It happens when I'm previewing a Latex file
which contains figures. Sometimes xdvi shows just an empty rectangle in
place of the figure. I don't think it's to do with gs fonts because at
other times the same figure will show up correctly in the same file, even
though nothing at all has been changed. I haven't actually regarded it as
more than a minor annoyance because the rectangle gives an indication that
the figure is at least there and it prints correctly.
