Is anyone using Cyclades & Redhat Successfully?

We can't seem to get Picasso to allow more than 17 ppp modem connections
with 2 16 port modules daisy-chained, or Rembrandt to even initialize the
any of the serial ports.
Has anyone seen this problem before, or gotten Cyclades working with Redhat?
We've done all the seemingly obvious stuff.
