All I want to do is print.
I have followed the directions on pages 88 + 89 of
the RH User's Guide to the letter.
That is, except for the part that says "Needless to say,
ghostscript and nenscript should be installed."
Oh, that's great RH. Do you know there isn't even an
entry for "nenscript" in the damn index? And the ONLY
entry for "ghostscript" in the index refers back to the
mention of it on page 89!!! What a joke! Can you people
write something that a newbie has a chance of understanding?
This is supposed to be a User's Guide, isn't it? It hasn't
guided me anywhere, I'm afraid. Given that it's been three
weeks now without an answer from tech support, it would
be nice if the manual was clearer. IMHO, you could cut your
tech support queue by several orders of magnitude simply
by writing a decent user's guide for new users.
I thought I might print my /etc/fstab file, for a starter. No.
Permission denied errors for every print command I could
find or think of.
I'm the damn root! Whaddya mean "permission denied"?
