I seem to recall having this problem when I would inadvertently set the
SCSI ID of a device to the same as the controller.
Those, I believe, were the only times when I saw a single device appear
in more than one place.
Sorry I don't know more about your particular adapter.
You know about termination ? The end devices need to be terminated, and
any terminators between the adapter and the end device need to be removed...
Sounds like your card has both an internal and an external chain ?
Two different channels ?
Adaptec's I think for the most part have software on/off kinda stuff for
the external port, and perhaps even the internal port.
Does buslogic have a bios setup program ? Software disk ? Jumpers ?
That's it... Almost. The cables have to go the right way, hard to mess
up on external stuff, though.
That's all I know.
I didn't know that 50 to 68 works on the same chain, never done it,
and I haven't read the specs that close.
