Can I make a suggestion here, I have been trying to get across to
everyone that uses a Buslogic controller and has any problems with
it, probeing for devices try the new driver at:
http://www.dandelion.com/Linux/
This was written by our favorite programmer:
"Leonard N. Zubkoff" <lnz@dandelion.com>
I had a similiar problem with a large wide Quantum harddrive and
this fixed the problem. If this doesn't help don't hesitate
to contact techsup@buslogic.com they are really helpful people
and prompt. That appears to be one company that really wants
to support the Linux community.
