Short form of question appears in the subject.

I'm running Red Hat 3.0.3 and have gotten Samba running using a trivial
modification of the smb.conf file shipped with Red Hat. I've got a Win95
(boo hiss) machine happily accessing the /tmp directory and the cdrom on my
linux machine.

I've kinda-sorta got Windows printing to my linux-attached Deskjet 600.
I've got NO problems printing (plain text, ghostscript, netscape, you name
it) to the Deskjet. In setting it up for Samba I have the following line in
smb.conf:
   print command = lpr -r -h -P %p %s

I first defined it as a Deskjet and got... garbage. I presumed that this
was due to the not-so-smart filter that the Red Hat Control Panel set up so
I tried defining it as an Apple Laserwriter.

This mostly works but I get an extra page with some postscript comments
after each print job.

QUESTION: Does anyone have Windoze printing to a Linux printer going thru
the Red Hat simple filter and if so what does Windoze THINK the printer is?

TIA--Hal.
