Hhhhmm.. interesting.. cause I know that a couple of friends of mine don't
ever see this problem... I'm wondering what my system and yours have in
common... Here's a list of my hardware:

Asus MB w/ 32 megs ram (old one, no pb cache.. can't remember model)
intel P100 cpu
Matrox, 4 meg video card
WD 1.6 gig hard drive for /dev/hda
Connor 1.2 gig for /dev/hdb
Mitsumi 4x ide CD for /dev/hdc
seagate 1.0 gig for /dev/sda
..running off an NCR pci scsi card
SB AWE 32 with all the standard settings
Supra 28.8 i PnP
HP Plus NIC
Teac combo floppy drive
Piece-o-crapola third floppy style tape drive..

As for the install I did, I basically installed **everything** except
emacs (never did like that program ;).. All of it's on a 500 meg partition
(/dev/sda2) with /dev/sda1 for 32 megs swap space.

There, that's everthing I can think of ;).
