"supposed to" is somewhat strong; we regularly edit these by hand
ourselves when reconfiguring our networks.  If you need to, feel
free to add comments.  The new network configurator will *try* to
preserve the comments where they are as it makes other changes.

The install tool mostly does things from scratch.  A text-based tool
to be run later would be a bit more complex, and is lower on the to-do
list than a bunch of other improvements.  I hope to work on it sometime,
but no promises.  :-(
