Anyone using IBM Thinkpad 760LDL?

I am about to purchase an IBM ThinkPad 760LD.
Anyone using this beast out there? How well does X and sound
+ CDROM work on these?
How easy is it to install ReadHat on it? It comes with a CD-
ROM and a floppy which is externally hooked by some cable (i wonder
if this will be recognized).
Words of advice etc will be appreciated.
