I'd be interested to know, too. Could you please forward the response if
it is not in the list?
I had a similar problem using X11R6.1 on an DECstation 5000 running Ultrix
(it's a high end, albeit old, graphics workstation) and I was getting the
same error, and it wouldn't load any fonts other than 'fixed' compiled into
the server..
