You are not doing anything wrong! Diamond does not fully support the
card under Xwindows. Much thanks to Donnie Barnes. I took his
recommendation and scrapped my Diamond for a Number Nine 771 with 4mb
VRAM. Now, that's the only card I use. It is in 10 RHL Linux Servers I
have. I could only get my Diamond to work with Xfree, and only in
400x600--no virtual! Do yourself a favor, monetary funds provided, and
get a Number Nine 771! You can locate Diamond's home page on the net,
they will explain, in a roundabout way, that some of their cards are not
fully supported under Xwindows. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I
suppose this didn't help you too much. Sorry.
