It is not showing up by not being, quoth I Zen-like.

Seriously, after updating netcfg using the intel rpm on the errata page,
the netconfig window showed -no- interfaces.  Blank, nothing.  I rebooted.
Still nothing.  So I re-added ppp0 in netcfg.  Still no sign of lo. 
Remind me where that's set up.  I know I've done it for Slackware, but my
head is swimming in conf files right now.
