In a word: yes. I consider "installation" to include basic network and GUI
interface. I DON'T consider a system "installed" if all I can get is a login
prompt.
But Redhat has not yet even answered "basic installation" - my first and
most serious problem was that the kernel they supplied crashed. I sent them an
e-mail, and all I have gotten so far are auto-answer replies telling me there's
something wrong with the format of my e-mail, and quoting the website (which I
have read). I asked them to be more specific about exactly what they found
wrong with the format, but all I got was exactly the same form-letter!

Maybe true, which will help you for your first day of use. More general
texts will help you for months (years?) afterwards. Hence, I stand my my
recommendation of buying the Redhat CD and a good general book on Linux.
