  Yes, US Worst ... er, West is offering it here in the Portland, OR area.
(I'm in the GTE service area and they're offering it Real Soon Now.) One of
the local Linux Users Group members works for USW and has provided us with a
steady stream of progress reports.

  A number of folks are using it and are very happy with it. The company was
giving away the modems and local hookup until the end of October, I think it
was. They've now extended the offer until January or later next year.

  It works with linux quite well. If GTE had it available I'd have them shut
off the third line I recently installed just for the modem and use the ADSL
line for data and business voice/fax.
