The January meeting will be held on Sunday, January 11th from 1:30 to 3:30
P.M. It will be held at the main Virginia Beach Public Library at 4100
Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA across from Loehman's Plaza. Rich
Jacox will be showing HomePage Publisher. The excellent, native OS/2 HPP
will get you publishing on the web in no time. HPP might be described as a
browser with editing capabilities. It supports not only standard HTML, but
also frames. Drag and drop graphics and URL links to create gorgeous HTML
documents. HPP lets you edit HTML documents directly over the web. No need
to keep separate copies and upload them. HPP will make you a web weenie and
you'll never have to learn HTML. If time permits, he'll also show off the
terrific graphics editor, Embellish. With Embellish, you can create not only
standard GIFs, but also animated gifs, object animations and much more.
We'll also be drawing for copies of Avarice from Stardock
<http://www.stardock.com> graciously provided by Kiyo Design
<http://www.kiyoinc.com>. A copy of Desktop Observatory, a network security
and portable Desktop application from Pinnacle Technology
<http://www.pinnacletech.com> is also available. Use it to limit web
access, get your custom Desktop no matter where you log in, keep your
critical info safe, insure privacy and more.
