Attribute Manager (previously Comment Manager) is now in beta version 0.76.50
What is new with this release
=============================
- The data displayed was not updated when changing folder or drive while the
first file in the listbox was selected. Now it works fine.
- Better detection of attribute modification. Now it should avoid wrong
"Some attribute has been modified" messages.
- File and EA size are now displayed together with last write, creation and
last access date and time. To edit date and time click with mouse button1
on the text.
- Date and number format follows the national settings format, so it will
display year/month/day, day/month/year or month/day/year and separate
thousands by "," or "." etc. according to your national settings.
- All controls are resized according to the size of the font used by the
main dialog. Width is based on the font average width so some kind of
proportional (not monospaced) font will be displayed incorrectly.
- All listbox can be resized and their width will be saved in attman.ini.
When the mouse moves on the space between two list boxes its shape change,
press mouse button 1 down and move the mouse to resize the listbox width.
- Select previous/next file buttons added, to browse through all files in
the current directory without opening the upper part of the window.
- Buttons help is displayed in a statusbar.
- Improved "single click" file selection routine.

Attribute Manager is a PM application that allows to easily read and edit
file or directory ordinary attributes, extended attributes (.SUBJECT,
.COMMENT and .KEYPHRASE) and "last changed" date & time.
The application has a small toolbar, with bubble help, for accessing to the
most used functions.
A contextual menu will pop up by clicking with mouse button 2 in any other
portion of the window.
To view/edit a file/directory you can drag it on the program icon, start the
program and select one or more files through the browse windows. Once the
application is started you can select different file or directories by
dragging and dropping them on the application title bar. With few mouse
clicks you can select a bunch of files and set all their date/time stamps or
attributes at the same value, read or convert to .SUBJECT or .COMMENT EAs
file description from 4 DOS - 4 OS/2 description files, from file_id.diz
files in archives or from any other user defined file.
Various options can be set by a preferences notebook and will be stored in
the program INI file.
Report and file search capability will be added in future.
