KEY OS/2 EXECUTIVE FEATURED AT THE DECEMBER 6TH MEETING
OF THE TAMPA BAY OS/2 USERS' GROUP (TBOUG)

PALM HARBOR, FL (October 18, 1995) - The Tampa Bay OS/2 Users' 
Group (TBOUG) is pleased to announce they have secured Mr.
Paul Giangarra of IBM as keynote speaker for their special
year-end meeting to be held December 6th in Tampa.

Mr. Giangarra is with IBM's Personal Software Products
(PSP) division in Boca Raton and is one of IBM's senior 
operating system architects who led the architecture phase 
for OS/2 for the PowerPC.  He holds a technical position 
on the PS Software Architecture Board and was the Chief 
Designer for OS/2 1.2, 1.3, and 2.0.

Paul is a much sought-after speaker and has conducted OS/2
technical presentations on a worldwide basis.  During his
presentation he will demonstrate many of IBM's key technology
innovations.  Included are IBM's new Speech Navigation and 
Recognition, New Infrared exploitation (printing, networking, 
etc.), OpenDoc, and OS/2 for PowerPC.

The special meeting will be held at the Tampa Airport Hilton,
2225 Lois Avenue in Tampa beginning at 5:45 pm.  TBOUG meetings 
are normally held at IBM's LakePointe One Building in Tampa.
Meetings will resume at IBM's facility beginning in January.

A large attendance is expected for this session so please 
register early.  UNTIL NOVEMBER 8TH, the registration fee 
is $24 for TBOUG members and $25 for guests.  AFTER NOVEMBER 8TH, 
the registration fee is $30 per person.  Registration includes
dinner and payment must accompany registration; checks should 
be made payable to:  Tampa Bay OS/2 Users' Group.  

NOTE:  Members of other valid OS/2 user groups will be
       entitled to TBOUG member registration rates.
