The Wall Street Journal in an email that the conversation was "definitely
on the record."In her Daily News piece,Nuzzi wrote that Weiner often called
interns "Monica," a reference to former White House intern Monica Lewinsky,
and that many people worked on the campaign to get close to
Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin. Abedin is an ex-aide to former Secretary of
State Hillary Clinton.Meanwhile, Weiner released a new campaign video Tuesday
evening saying he won't quit the race, despite calls from politicians and
newspaper editors who have said he should quit.In the one-minute video posted
on his campaign's website, he said his critics don't know New York
or him and that quitting isn't what New Yorkers do, they "fight
through tough things."He said in the video that when "embarrassing" things
in a person's private life become public, the person should talk about
it.The Associated Press contributed to this report.Click here for more from

astonishingly well-preserved blood from a 10,000-year-old frozen mammoth
could lead to mammoth stem cells, said Ian Wilmut, the scientist responsible
for Dolly, the worlds first cloned animal -- and might ultimately lead
to a cloned mammoth. There are several hurdles to such a venture, of
course, and it may ultimately prove unsuccessful. But Wilmuts weight lends
credibility to the growing possibility of bringing back the mammoth -- the
de-extinction of a long-lost species.- Ian Wilmut, emeritus professor at
the MRC Center for Regenerative Medicine at University of Edinburgh"I think
it should be done as long as we can provide great care
for the animal, Wilmut told The Guardian. If there are reasonable prospects
of them being healthy, we should do it. We can learn a
lot about them," he said.PHOTOS: Ten Most Wanted "Extinct" AmphibiansIn
an essay on The Conversation, Wilmut spelled out the two main methods
for turning an ancient pile of mammoth bones and blood into a
living, breathing creature. The tw

police have said.AFP/FileBANGKOK (AFP) An American tourist was allegedly
stabbed to death by three Thai musicians after he refused to stop
singing at a bar in a popular tourist resort, police said Wednesday.Bobby
Ray Carter, 51, died after he was stabbed twice in the chest
while his son Adam, 27, suffered a stab wound to his arm,
during a fight with members of the house band from the Longhorn
Saloon early Wednesday at Ao Nang beach in Krabi.Police said the three
musicians were arrested at the scene and confessed to stabbing the Americans.Carter
had joined the musicians on stage for a singalong, but a row
broke out when he refused to stop singing as the band took
a break. On its website the Longhorn Saloon advertises "jam with the band"
as one of its attractions, along with "good music, funfunfun and friendly
staff"."He and his son quarrelled with all three musicians because he wouldn't
stop singing despite the musicians taking a break," said Lieutenant Colonel
Attapong Seanjaiwuth of Krabi tourist police."He then demanded the money
he had already given as a tip back. But the real fight
broke out outside of that pub. He was stabbed twice and died
while on the way to local hospital."Thailand has come under scrutiny in

w Girl") said the researchers' work at Washington University
in St. Louis and later at their own institute was especially important
for women, allowing them to understand and accept their sexuality as healthy."Before
Masters and Johnson, no one was telling women that. It was always
their own fault," Caplan said. "And that's some (baloney)."The series embellished
some characters but "stuck to the facts very carefully," said producer Michelle
Ashford. "Certainly (with) the research, we fudged none of that."Masters
and Johnson became big celebrities who were the topic of late-night talk
show hosts and on the cover of news magazines. Their work drew
some criticism, especially in an era when sex was seldom discussed in
public and certainly not in detail. The cast, asked whether filming sex scenes
proved embarrassing, said there was a painstaking effort to protect the
actors by making the production "comfortable and safe," Sheen said.Cast
member Teddy Sears recalled director John Madden saying, "I want to protect
your modesty," then mimicked the British Madden giving a stage direction:
"Grab her bum."Doing repeated takes of one clinical sex scene turned out
to be "decidedly unsexy after a while," Sears said. The panelists, including
executive producer Sarah Timberman, said they were not in touch with Johnson
because they'd wanted to respect her privacy."She wanted to live out her
the last few years of her life not in the limelight," Caplan
