HARRISBURG, Pa. The Jerry Sandusky scandal appears headed for another court
fight that is sure to prolong the media spotlight and relive the
testimony of how the former Penn State assistant football coach molested
boys, sometimes in the university's athletic facilities.Penn State's ex-president
and two former top school administrators were ordered Tuesday to stand trial
on charges accusing them of covering up their failure to tell police
about a 2001 allegation that Sandusky molested a boy in a university
locker room shower, even after they knew police investigated complaints
about Sandusky showering with boys in 1998.It was, said lead state prosecutor
Bruce Beemer, a "conspiracy of silence."District Judge William Wenner called
it "a tragic day for Penn State University" after ruling that prosecutors
showed enough evidence during a two-day preliminary hearing to warrant a
trial for ex-President Graham Spanier, former vice president Gary Schultz
and ex-athletic director Tim Curley. The key testimony centered on a series
of emails among the three defendants that discussed the 1998 and 2001
cases and the testimony of Mike McQueary, a former team assistant and
quarterback who said he had immediately told Schultz, Curley and the late
longtime football coach Joe Paterno that he had seen Sandusky molesting
a boy in the shower in 2001.Spanier's lawyer, Elizabeth Ainslie, told Wenner
that the case against him "amounts to innuendo and far-fetched i
onight when I called and emailed Olivia to apologize," she said in
a statement.Josh Marshall, editor and publisher of Talking Points Memo, told
The Wall Street Journal in an email that the conversation was "definitely
on the record."In her Daily News piece,Nuzzi wrote that Weiner often called
interns "Monica," a reference to former White House intern Monica Lewinsky,
and that many people worked on the campaign to get close to
Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin. Abedin is an ex-aide to former Secretary of
State Hillary Clinton.Meanwhile, Weiner released a new campaign video Tuesday
evening saying he won't quit the race, despite calls from politicians and
newspaper editors who have said he should quit.In the one-minute video posted
on his campaign's website, he said his critics don't know New York
or him and that quitting isn't what New Yorkers do, they "fight
through tough things."He said in the video that when "embarrassing" things
in a person's private life become public, the person should talk about
it.The Associated Press contributed to this report.Click here for more from

<p style="font-size:xx-small;"> Inmates at a California jail can choose to serve hard time in
style so long as they are willing to pay for the upgrade.Time
Magazines NewsFeed blog reports that for $155 per nightabout the price of
a three-star hotel prisoners serving time for misdemeanors can bunk in
a special section of the Fremont Detention Center. The lodging option is
part of an Alternative Confinement Program, which was created to increase
revenue and reduce overcrowding of nearby jails.Convicts with no criminal
gang connections, history of violence, or sex crime convictions can opt
to stay at the Fremont facility as an alternative to staying in
the larger Glenn E. Dyer Detention Facility in Oakland or the Santa
Rita Jail in Dublin, which houses 4000 inmates, many of whom have
gang affiliations. Fremont has a maximum capacity of 96 prisoners."It's
still a jail; there's no special treatment, Lt. Mark Devine, who oversees
the pay-to-stay program told a local newspaper, the Argus. "They get the
same cot, blanket and food as anybody in the county jail, except
that our jail is smaller, quieter and away from the county jail
population."Fremont spends just over $8 a day per inmate. The city could
earn an annual net profit of about $244,000 if they can house
16 inmates for two nights per week."This place is for a person
who has committed a petty theft or a DUI," Devine added. "It's
for people who need to serve one or five, or maybe 10
days in jail."Inmates can stay in p
race and not worrying about anything."Just
before they called my name tonight I could really feel the butterflies
going so I am just so delighted to get the win."I actually
heard my dad shouting 'Go Boy!' just before I jumped in and
my mum is also here which is great."I didn't think it was
going to be as hard as it was."When I came back from
a two-month break I had a small injury and I think that
was due to a lack of motivation."I wanted to be 100 percent
fit before I started, I believe you can't do things half-heartedly, if
you're going to train you've got to train properly."Poland's Korzeniowski,
28, only returned to training at the start of 2013 after injury
which cost him any sponsors, and was pleased with his silver."I just
wanted to swim with Chad and at 150 metres I was in
a very good position, but the last fifty was decisive and he
was the better man," said the 2009 world silver medallist."This is my
third World Championship medal, I won in Montreal and I got second
in Rome, so I am very happy."I broke my foot and missed
training for 2 months, I only started back in January so it
is not a long time."I didn't have any sponsors: after the Olympics
I got injured and no one would sponsor me anymore so hopefully
now I will get some sponsors to go to the Olympics in
Rio."Wu, 26, who won world silver in this event six years ago,
was content with his bronze."I didn't prepare for this championship for
a long time so I am very satis
