Subject: COMMERCIAL: StampPDF Batch 2.0 for Linux Beta Test
Date: Sat, 11 Dec 1999 01:34:04 GMT
Reply-To: mgavin@digapp.com
=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====
We have ported our StampPDF Batch 2.0 application to RedHat Linux 6.1
running on Intel Pentium processors. We are looking for people who
would be interested in beta testing the Linux version of StampPDF Batch.
Those people interested in testing the StampPDF Batch application
should be familiar with a scripting language such as Perl.
We have done our development work using RedHat Linux 6.1 with the
2.2.12-20 kernel on an i686. We are particularly interested in
determining the compatibility with other processors and variants of
Linux with the 2.2 kernel.
StampPDF Batch allows you to stamp pages in one or more PDF documents
with any type of text, for example, watermarks, page numbers, or
information in the headers and footers of a page. The stamped text
becomes a permanent part of each PDF document that's stamped.
StampPDF Batch is a command line driven application designed to run in
conjunction with other processes in an unattended environment and to
handle high volume and on-demand production needs.
StampPDF Batch 2.0 has the following new features:
1. Postscript Fonts - Stamp using any Postscript Type 1 font including
BarCode and OCR fonts.
2. Base 14 Fonts - Built in support for the standard 14 fonts supported
by Acrobat.
3. Color - StampPDF will now stamp text in any RGB color.
4. Multi-Line Stamps - StampPDF will now allow the user to place
multiple line
stamp items on the PDF page with full support for the StampPDF stamp variables.
5. Text Modes - In addition to solid, filled text, StampPDF now supports
the use of outline and invisible text. Outline text is especially
useful for stamping over images without obscuring the underlying image.
Invisible text can be used to place text on a page which is to be
indexed using a full text search engine.
6. Page Increments - StampPDF will now stamp any predefined increment of
pages. For example, every second page to support odd and even pages.
More information on StampPDF, including the documentation, can be found
on our web site at http://www.digapp.com.
Those interested in beta testing StampPDF Batch Linux can send their
contact information directly to me at mailto:mgavin@digapp.com.
Thank you.

Announce:
WWW Linux & BSD/OS' Resource Page: http://www.mccolm.com/
Comments and suggestions wanted for this start towards a Linux and Free BSD/OS'
resource page. Much of the site consists simply of links to most of the main
Linux and BSD/OS' distributions but I plan on putting up how-to's and reviews
of Linux software. (i.e. Running the full version of Corel WordPerfect 8 for
Linux under different distributions, user experiences, etc.)
Please check out the site and let me know what you think.
Cheers!
