Whoever told you this was *WRONG*. [Anyone who wants to complain can
complain to me.]
The action of the Board of Directors, i.e. censuring Warren Weidman and
requesting his resignation as Region II Director is a matter of public
record as an action taken by the Board of Directors of a corporation and
requesting further info as to why this happened is reasonable. While the
issue may be uncomfortable to discuss, and in this case what can be
discussed is limited as the board discussions took place in executive
session, it can not simply be ignored.
Any decision by the Board of Directors is a valid topic for this list. The
chapters elected members of the Board and they entitled to know what those
they have elected are doing and why. However, it is perfectly
understandable of people prefer to respond to inquiries on sensitive topics
personally rather than in a public forum.
That being said, I will promptly shoot down any flamefest on the subject
of whether the board took the correct action and how Brother Weidman should
respond. The members of APO-L can not decide what a particular individual
should do under particular circumstances. If you want to express your
feelings on the Board vote, discuss them directly with the members of the
board. If you want do discuss something with Brother Weidman, write to
him.
