Well...not 101, but some ways the advisors of Alpha Alpha play a part
in the affairs of the chapter:
1) There is usually at least one advisor at each chapter meeting and
each pledge meeting
2) Pledges are required to get signatures from three of our advisors
(made easier by advisors' presence at meetings)
3) After meetings (Thursday nights), advisors have been known to
be very generous when we go out to local campus hangouts
4) Individual advisors have unique talents, skills, etc. to offer to
the chapter. For example, when student organization office space was
being redesigned a couple of years ago, one advisor who was also a
(that should be "an") architect for the University, kept us up to
date on the University's plans.
5) Advisors (usually) have "real" homes, i.e., large enough to store
a 16 foot paddle, say.
6) The advisors count ballots at our election and pledge review meetins
Oh, by the way, Alpha Alpha is University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
over and out,
