I thought about this a bit, and I disagree. Back in the Days of Yore, I was
heavily involved in the Order of the Arrow (the BSA's National Honor
Society), and every section conclave or NOAC I went to all had themes that
were one line of of either the Pre-Ordeal or Ordeal ceremonies. Taken out
of their context, they mean nothing to an outsider, but to an OA Brother,
they know the significance behind the words.
Our rituals have a lot of meaning behind them, and I think that to take one
line from them, and use it as a building block for a conference would be a
great motivational thing, as well as stress that people do take the meaning
behind the rituals seriously. However, if whole paragraphs of the Ritual
start appearing on webpages, then I would take issue.
