Rev, et. al,

I have been wondering for some time about the origins of UMOC. When I
was a senior at Zeta Epsilon (1998), we ran our UMOC compentition and one of
the previous winners saw us and talked to us about it for a while. He had
won the competition when the chapter was originally at Gustavus. Since the
chapter had been inactive after 1954, that means UMOC was already going
strong by that time. I highly doubt that Zeta Epsilon started the
competition, however. I have heard suggestions that my other former
chapter, Zeta, might have started it, but I have seen no evidence in chapter
archives or otherwise of that. Anyone have a date before 1954 that they can
confirm?

Chris Stromberg
