At Case Western Reserve University, Theta Upsilon runs the "Ugly Professor" competition instead. We hold it the week of Halloween, and professors dress up in silly costumes and name their charity of choice. We take their pictures and post them in "voting booths" around campus, along with their name and the selected charity. Students vote for their favorite (the "ugliest" professor) by donating spare change to that person's canister. All the donations are sent to the charity of the person garnering the most money.
