OK maybe we already discussed this, i know we talked about Tax exempt
status eons ago-(was it ever resolved, do we or dont we have tax exempt and
do we present our card when we check in or arrange it in advance?) but for
those of you who were not paying attention (like myself).... The tax in
Louisiana has gone up to 13% and i just wanted to make sure that known
because those of you who are needing to cut a check for the hotel by your
respective college before you leave (like myself and some other schools in
my area) this could pose a problem if you have been going by the 12% rate
that was on the Hotel confirmation email (at least for those of you who
booked before July when the official change was made). I just wanted to
make sure that everyone knew that (maybe i was the only one in the dark
about the tax increase being a lowly college student who doesn't usually
look out for these types of things...) I know the extra 1% doesn't make too
big of a difference but for people like me who have 34 people going and a
child to take care of, i don't want any surprises!

Take it easy all!
