there are
individuals who do not understand, but there are some who actually
have a
wall to get around first.

> and DO NOT want a seperate Frat. We already have one because some
of our
> White Brothers are not comfortable with us.

I beg to differ. It would seem, unless I am misunderstanding, that
those
who call themselves A Phi Ques are seperating themselves from the
Fraternity. I believe it is best to take responsibility for one's
actions
and not seek to find division where there is none.

>>Big Assumption
>>We call ourselves Ay-Phi-Ques because it developed out of our
heritage.
>>When amoungst other members we are what we all are Alpha Phi
Omega. I
>>have found sevaral simularities of other separate heritages within
>>different chapters. That doesn't make them separate. We really
do not
>>want to separate. We just want to be ourselves. That shouldn't be
>>so much of a problem.

> They would find it an enjoyable experience if they ever took the
time to
> fellowship with us and not believe the rumors or Pre-judge.

If any A Phi Que wants to fellowship with me, I would be most happy
to do
so. I want to understand why people would choose to participate in
something that so effectively separates them from the rest of APO.

>>The Equation is very simple. Some people do not like rap music.
Others
can stand it but really don't like to be around it. Still others
have
have heard about it but it really doesn't interest them. Others
flip
right by it in there quest to find Country music. Not understanding
fundamental differences is the root of misunderstanding. Whether
people
can stand other is not point. Some individuals would rather be
different than be around something that is always attempting to not
change the very fiber of their character. This works both ways.

> I have been suspended by the National Board for "Interfering with a
> sanctioned extension effort" I have nothing to hide.

So, you deny the actions you are accused of?

>>I'm sorry Joel but I have to state this. After discussing the
parameters
>>of this suspension, it shouts to me of the vastly embarrasing
insufficient
>>investigation to bring this verdict to the forefront. Justice?
what
>>Justice? If a person within Alpha Phi Omega is falsely accused,
what then
>>is the recourse. Does he deserve an apology? What proof must he
render
>>that would be sufficient enought to overturn a suspension. There
is none.
>>There is nothing he can do. I admire you Joel for taking this
heat. Even
>>when can see the gravity of the error.

A Phi Ques have a reputation as separatist, elitist, and divisive.
The
best thing any could do is DEMONSTRATE that this is not so.

> Please don't judge us until you get to know us.

>>Now see, when you state a reputation, it is as if you are
mirroring the
>>belief. It is just the same as you saying, "A Phi Ques are
separatist,
elitist, and divisive." And not to disagree with you. but to
explain
what you are saying. Separatist// We have become separated because
the
none growth rule places all male chapters on individual islands that
can
instantly become smaller when they less members in Alpha Phi Omega
who
understand them and wish/work towards their chapters to change.
elitist// I'm sorry I think you think in reverse. A-Phi-Ques know
when
a foot as been placed above them. Divisive// Alpha Phi Omega is a
single
entity, when it has national functions all brothers of Ay-Phi-Que
are
encourage to take part in. But nationally, there are several groups
of
Alpha Phi Omega that does things on their own. So why would we be
called
divisive?

> Those who have done so have found it to be a pleasant
acculturational
> experience. We believe in our frat and want to considered as equal
> Brothers and not outcasts.

Which Frat? APO or A Phi Que? As near as I can tell, they are not
the
same.

>>He is stating that if you think that fellowshipping is an issue
Ay-Phi-Ques see it as a non-issue. In other, words you should not
have to say as you did early, "if you to fellowship with me" you
have to also have a desire to fellowship. Once that is done, then
you can allow yourself to journey to a location crowed with Ay-Phi-
Ques. Reference is often poorly judged from a clocktower. Sometime
you can shoot off a scud missle and hit a nearby bunker. As in the
the case of Joel Bryant. Later in life, we'll be saying: "Rick
that ball just Joel'ed the outside corner on that pitch to Chipper
Jones. Or I think I got just Joel'ed, that teacher gave me
only "F" she gave out, But I know I made a "A".

Things change, and splitting people off to form A Phi Que is,
in my eyes, only destructive.

>>You should not think of Ay-Phi-Ques Splitting off to form. Things
do change. But Ay-Phi-Que hasn't. There enlies the problem. It
will
never go away. Even if all the chapters in Alpha Phi Omega were coed
there will still be individuals wanting to learn about being more an
Ay-Phi-Que. Which to me is beautiful. To me love survives even the
most toughest hate. Even reverse hate. I say that because this is
about the hatred bestowed upon something that is encomprehensible
because of the aftermath of what is left in it's wake. You can only
see from where your sitting, but you don't realize how much your
vision
is blurred. You can only judge from what you know. And from where
your sitting I would draw the same conclusions.

An example: I am one to believe that Saddam has "Weapons of Mass
Descruction" hidden somewhere in his country. But I need the
evidence.
You see, have to see for myself, not because you can verbally make a
case.
Doesn't everyone have the basic humanistic right of "Show me and let
me
make a decision". Or do we as a country have a lynch mob gene that
causes us to go with the flow of conjecture into unjustifiable
determinations.
