Bro. Licata makes good points, points that I am pondering.
Other things that have been crossing my mind:
Poor Students......HA! Not saying that every student is rich OR poor.
Let's just say that I know a girl who purchased a Prada bag before she
paid for her books. Maybe it was Fendi.
Random observation........would it do the fraternity any good if alumni
who are active in alumni associations are assessed an annual fee of say
$20.00 to be considered "Active Alumni?" I'm not sure if that would
mean a restructuring of the National Alumni Association. But it seems
like we should be asking for dues from the people who can afford it.
Then again, what are we offering alumni in exchange for "Active" status?
Would alumni then demand a greater voice in fraternal affairs? What are
we willing to negotiate for a financially stronger Fraternity?
Dang, I thought I left the world of development to be a writer.....
