Hey guys,
I joined the list at the beginning of the summer and have so far lurked
the whole time. In Alpha Omicron at SMU in Dallas, we have our pledge
trainer draw up requirements each semester and we vote on them at the first
meeting before Rush starts. They're pretty much the same each semester
anyway, but not having them written in the bylaws makes it easier to tweak
them. For instance, there was a message on APOSOC recently about writing
letters to members of other chapters. Since I've been at AO, we've always
had to write letters to alums (who hardly ever wrote back) but I think this
idea is a great one and will be suggesting it to our pledge trainer for
incorporation into this fall's pledging requirements.
