My chapter didn't continue pledges. If they didn't meet their
requirements, they were not allowed to go through finals. If they
wanted to pledge again the next semester, they could, but they had to
start from the beginning. There was only one girl who pledged twice
while I was there and she got the same big brother the second time
around. She had to depledge in the fall for personal reasons but she
came back in the spring and was initiated. She left school after the
spring semester.
As for transfer brothers, I don't remember voting them in. I think they
just had to show up at a brother meeting, express an interest in being
active in our chapter and give the membership VP their national number.
We didn't really do much in the way of a pledge process for them.
