It's about time for Leadership Development Retreat '99, September 24-26
on the campus of Michigan Tech in Houghton, MI.
This weekend will be jam-packed with activities that will help make you
a better leader, and also give you a chance to network with brothers
from all across the nation, with scenery that only Michigan's Upper
Peninsula can offer during the fall color season.
The concept of this "Retreat" is that there are fellowship activities
before and after the Leadership Development Workshop during the entire
weekend. These activities give brothers the chance to hang out with each
other and have a little fun. We promise to give you a good time... you
just have to make the drive to Houghton to get it. :)
Registration materials are being sent to all chapters in sections 21,
23, 27, 52, and 54, plus those interest/petitioning groups in Sections
27 and 54 that we're aware of. You should receive these materials by the
middle of next week.

lost in the mail.. it happens), visit our website at

or contact me (my info's below), and I'll make sure you get your hands
on whatever you need.
Deadline to register is September 15th, though we'll still take
applications up to the beginning of the event. Those who register early
will be rewarded hansomely, however.
How so? Early birds get first crack at free housing w/ brothers for the
weekend. How's that for rewards?? :) We've also reserved hotel rooms for
the weekend (for those w/o a sense of adventure). To reserve one (by
Sept. 10th), call the Best Western Copper Crown hotel at 906-482-6111
and tell them you're w/ the APO group. Rates are $50/night.
It's only $5 to attend LDR '99, which pays for Saturday lunch and
dinner, and all the fellowship events throughout the weekend. Try
thinking of any other APO event that cost so little that gives so much!
