I'm pretty sure that the recommended length has been six weeks plus since
at least '88. It may have been 6-12 when I graduated in '90 rather than
6-10, but I'm pretty sure its been 6-10 weeks since then. I can not
imagine running a pledge period of 3 weeks.

There are a couple of schools where we have to deal with that. There is an
alternative membership program, I think. But to use it your school has to
officially tell APO that pledging is banned....
