I created machine.bedfellow (ronald-ann:/vicepd), machine.beacon
(ronald-ann:/vicepa), with mountpoints in
/afs/sipb/machine/senator-bedfellow and
/afs/sipb/machine/bloom-beacon respectively.
In both machine directories, I created 'configs' and put
gather-configs in configs/bin. I touched the program up a bit, but
didn't put it under RCS. I also created configs/nightly in each
directory, with an acl that allows the appropriate machine to write to
it. I changed the crontabs on beacon and bed to reference the
appropriate script. (In this case, I feel it's appropriate to
reference the machine volume, since it's definitely tied to the
machine, and not the service.)
I plan to vos rename project.news to service.news and move the
mountpoint to /afs/sipb/service if there aren't any objections in the
next few days.
