Hi. I've installed NetBSD Athena and have had a couple problems..
1. I got XFree86 on my own and installed it. I have 3.1.2E Beta version,
which is X11R6.1, but the Athena software (dm, emacs) expects libs for
R6.0. my /usr/libexec/ld.so is apparently broken - where can i get the
fixed version so that it will supply the 6.1 if asked for a 6.0 lib?
2. I tried to recompile my kernel, but during the make depend, it gives
me an error: the file /sys/dev/ic/aic7xxx.c has a line which #includes
"aic7xxx_seq.h", but that include file is nowhere to be found. (My SCSI
controller is a 2940, so I need this file.)
3. Terminal emulation isn't the greatest - for example, vi doesn't
understand the arrow keys. TERM is set to vt220.
Any help on these problems would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I've found that there is little documentation for NetBSD compared
to Linux (HOWTO's, Linux Doc Project, etc.) Is there any particular book
that contains the equivalent information? For example, is there a book
which would contain the NetBSD equivalent of the Linux Networking Guide,
or System Administration Guide?
Thanks, Matt
