hi there. I'm trying to install netbsd on a NEC with a 3c509 card. I downloaded the special install disk image with the driver for this card on it, and it was able to connect to the network and download all of netbsd. however, now, when the computer boots netbsd, I get the following types of errors:
gateway 18.245.0.1: network is unreachable
updating cell location information:
afs: lost contact with cell 18.80.0.2
afs: lost contact with cell 18.159.0.34
afs: lost contact with cell 18.70.0.6
afs: lost contact with cell 18.72.0.43

also, gettime fails to return an answer.

now, I know that it connected to download netbsd, but it doesn't want to connect anymore. I think maybe the driver was only on the disk, but the netbsd I downloaded didn't have the driver in it. Does the 3c509 disk download a version of netbsd with the driver the card, or does it download a generic netbsd or something?

any help?

thanks,

John
