I'm attempting to install NetBSD-current (off NFS) on a Gateway
2000 Pentium system with no success; it keeps booting me out of
the installation script with the line:
/mnt/install: cannot create /tmp/label:read-only file system
when it asks me how large my boot partition should be.
What I did was create 3 partitions on the hard disk (one primary for
DOS, one extended logical for OS/2, and one primary for NetBSD), used
pfdisk to mark the NetBSD partition as installable, and rebooted with
the diskette image off Athena. I've checked the diskette I'm using to
make sure it's not write-protected by mistake; no dice there. I'm
kinda lost. Any ideas?
