running afs, etc, will work in 4 MB. However, it's going to be
extremely slow... I had slackware linux running in 4 MB on a 386, and
afs is really truly painfully slow. A more useful use for this
computer would be to get a minumum bsd install onto it and use it as a
telnet box.
on a more technical note, to get afs working, you're most likely going
to have to change the base afs configuration. you're mostly likely
going to want to change the AFSCLIENT variable to something very
small, and probably you want to pass additional options to
/usr/vice/etc/afsd. (sorry, i can't find my old config info)
