the last thing it says before it hangs is this:
I am now booting off the hard drive,
...
boot device: wd0
root on wd0a dumps on wd0b
root file system type: ffs
---that is all I get.
When I tried booting from the athena-boot image earlier I got similar
message except that wd0 was replaced by md0
