netbsd on a very weak machine

Hi,
I plan to install netbsd-athena on a 386 with 4Mb of ram. I am not able to
use the default boot image from the locker.
Going through the docs online, I find that I will have to do some work to
get this to work.
So, please any help is appreciated.
