so, i have a 3c905b, and using a borrowed netcard i have installed
netbsd/athena successfully.
now, so that i can give the netcard back, i am moving to netbsd-current
which supposedly supports the 3c905b
i got the source from netbsd.org, followed instructions, and now have
a netbsd.new kernel (to complement the netbsd.old kernel i am using right now)
the prolem is, upon booting with netbsd.new, i get the xlogin
screen, but when i try to login i am told
"workstation did not load propoerly" or something, and
i am advised to call SIPB.
my assumption is that i skipped smething that needs to be done to
netbsd/athena that was not noted on the www.netbsd.org kernel-howto
assistance will be greatly appreciated.
