The SCSI-II spec allows up to a 10 cm stub on a bus with single-ended
drivers/receivers. That 10 cm includes the contribution from the
connectors and the capacitive loading of the driver/receiver ICs.
Personally, I wouldn't want to stress a single-ended FAST SCSI-II bus
quite that much, but with your 3 cm stub cable and a short overall bus
you should be OK.
