I have a problem with my IBM disk. Can someone tell me what
"sense key not ready" means. Is it really bad or a configuration error.

I can use the disk for a long time befor this happens. I think it
has something to do with the sony tape drive I have not had the problem
before the first use of the tape drive. I have currently disabled the backup
program so it should not be used.

Kernel version is 2.2.2 and 2.2.3. Everything is new so this is the only
kernels that I have tested.
