They did come with the 1.2.13 kernel, in drivers/scsi. I configured
the kernel for SCSI support and compiled it. The version is:

/*
 *  @(#)aha274x.c 1.29 94/10/29 jda
 *
 * Adaptec 274x device driver for Linux.
 * Copyright (c) 1994 The University of Calgary Department of Computer
    Science.

The aha274x.c also works with the 2842 (VL bus).

R.
