Well, this is all being addressed with the new aic7xxx driver. I was
actually having a lot of problems with the driver ever since 2.0.34.
Yesterday I tried 2.0.35 with the prepatch4 for the 5.1.x driver, and it
worked beautifully. I'd previously failed with prepatch 1 & 2, so I
figure either 3 or 4 was the magic fix. Kudos to Doug Ledford for
getting everything straightened out so quickly. Anyway, my 2940UW is
working like a charm now.
